About Me

I am a sociologist specializing in economic sociology and inequality. I received my Ph.D. in Sociology from Cornell University in 2026, where I wrote my dissertation on wealth concentration and the economic elite (specifically, billionaires). I previously received a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Sociology from New York University and a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Teaching from Boston University. Prior to entering graduate school at Cornell, I was a high school math teacher and worked in the legal and financial industries in New York City.

I am currently a Research Associate at the University of Bern, where I work on the data infrastructure behind TREE (Transitions from Education to Employment), a long-running Swiss panel study that follows nationally representative cohorts from school into the labor market.

I do most of my day-to-day work in Python and R (you can find the statistical programming course I taught in R at Sciences Po here). I’ve also taken coursework in C++, work with and administer Postgres databases, and developed this website using Hugo and custom CSS/HTML.

I currently live in Switzerland and occasionally take photos. You can find me on Bluesky, LinkedIn, or walking in the countryside.
